I own several old wool 5950s, all of which are size 7 1/2, and all of which fit well, are confortable, and have worn well through the years. Since going to these all-plastic caps, I have yet to find one that fits or is comfortable to wear for more than ten minutes. The bill does not take to a decent curve the way the old ones did, I find these hats hotter than the wool ones, and far more poorly made. I mean, come on, New Era, when you made the O's caps of the early 1980s you didn't have the black thread visible on the white front panels, why is it there now? Have you forgotten how to make caps the correct way?
Bring back the natural wool fabric. Polyester? Are you kidding? Why go from an organic material to an oil-based poor substitute? I thought we were supposed to be moving away from such things.
